Written on Christmas night 2008, the inspiration for this piece being the composer’s young daughter dancing around the tree with her new doll. This simple, delicate waltz is a bittersweet reminder that a daughter doesn’t stay five years old forever. Waltz for Anna is scored for traditional percussion instruments and solo flute.
